Brief info

Beth's journey is marked by a series of transformative career shifts and a steadfast commitment to community service. Growing up in Collingswood, NJ, she initially delved into the retail and loss prevention sector, accumulating a decade of experience in management. Seeking a change from the demanding retail industry, Beth transitioned to the oil sector, working as a welder and traveling executive assistant for a year.

In 2014, Beth and her husband relocated to Tabernacle, NJ, where she embarked on a remote career as an executive assistant for a web design and marketing company and an energy conservation firm. Four years later, the couple made a significant move to Frametown, WV, embracing a rural lifestyle and undertaking the venture of farming, raising various animals including chickens, pigs, rabbits, and occasionally a goat.

As financial sustainability became a consideration, Beth's husband found work in carpentry and odd jobs for locals, while Beth continued her commitment to community service by working with seniors in the area. Their lives took a new turn in 2022 when the Rails to Trails project opened in nearby Gassaway. Recognizing an opportunity to merge their passions and contribute to community development, Beth and her husband opened a bike shop.

Despite their new entrepreneurial venture, Beth remains engaged in her commitment to community service. She continues to work with seniors, sits on the Board of Directors for the Elk River Trail Foundation, and is a member of the Sutton Moose Lodge. Furthermore, Beth is investing in her personal and community development by participating in a 9-month Coaching for Transformation Fellowship. This educational pursuit reflects her dedication to acquiring the skills necessary to navigate and maximize the economic potential of the newly established trail for herself, fellow business owners, and the local residents.

Beth's story is one of adaptability, resilience, and a profound dedication to community well-being. Through diverse career experiences, entrepreneurial ventures, and ongoing educational pursuits, she exemplifies the spirit of individuals who not only navigate change successfully but actively contribute to the growth and prosperity of their communities.
